Rustic Reuse: Easy DIY Craft Ideas for Adults

We all possess those cardboard tubes be it from paper towels, mailing tubes, or even the centers of trash bags. Rather than discarding them, consider transforming them into an enchanting, cottagecore-inspired vase. This project ranks among our preferred simple DIY craft ideas for adults due to its sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and the warm, handcrafted ambiance it brings to any space.

Materials Required:
1.3 robust cardboard tubes (approximately the same height)

2.Hot glue gun along with glue sticks

3.Burlap ribbon (with or without lace embellishment)

4.A small piece of leftover cardboard (to serve as the base)

5.A pencil and scissors

6.Dried flowers or pampas grass for decoration

Step-by-Step Guide:
1.Assemble Your Base: Gather your three cardboard tubes and position them in a triangular formation. Apply a substantial line of hot glue between each tube to bond them into a single cohesive unit.

2.Construct the Bottom: Set your assembled tubes on the scrap cardboard and outline the base. Cut out the shape and adhere it to the bottom of your tubes with hot glue to secure the vase.

3.Wrap It: Beginning at the top, encircle all three tubes with a wide piece of burlap ribbon. Fasten the ends using hot glue.

4.Add the Decorative Touch: To enhance the aesthetic appeal, wrap a second piece of burlap (one featuring lace is an excellent option!) around the middle of the vase. This unifies the appearance and conceals any seams.

5.Decorate with Nature: Given that this is a cardboard vase, it is ideal for dried flowers. Fill it with pampas grass, dried lavender, or wheat stalks to achieve the rustic charm!
