Have you wondered — what to do with those leftover paper cups from your last gathering? All it takes is a little yarn and some crafty weaving to make these colorful miniature baskets which bring the bright spot that every room needs!
Materials:
1.Paper cups (any size)
2.Colorful yarn or cotton cord
3.Scissors
4.Decorative lace or beads
5.Glue gun
6.Faux flowers for styling
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step one: Cutting your Paper CupCreate the base from a paper cup by cutting vertical strips downward starting at the top rim and towards along все Make sure that your number of strips is odd — this one trick will crack the code to a perfect weave!
Begin Weaving: Attach the very end of your yarn to bottom of the cup with a tiny drop of glue. Starting inserting the yarn over and under each strip, all around the cup.
Continue to Weave Upwards: Build the Body Gently tug on the yarn as you go to encourage the cup strips to “open up” and expand outward into that lovely, rounded warn shape of a bowl.
Finish the Edge When In Level Up: You tuck the tail of video game trim in and wedge it there with glue. To conceal the edges of cardboard, you may also use glue to add a piece of ornamental lace or ribbon around.
Make a Handle: Braid three lengths of yarn (or wrap around flexible wire) into a solid handle. Use hot glue to attach it around the sides of your basket.
Embellish: You can add little flower accents, beads or pearls to suit your basket.
